Charlie says of himself “I have been into horses all my life, trying different things,” and these have included pony club, dressage, hack class riding, and rodeo clown work for a bit of variety!” Twelve years ago, Charlie completed a bits and spurs school and he's simply gone on from there. During that time he managed on Arab Stud at Nerang, before meeting Heather and settling at Wyreema. He and Heather learned to tyweld together (romantic!) and the first set of spurs they made were sent to Scotland to Heathers Uncle Jordie.
Heather has a designing gift, and although she works outside the business and says she's not as involved as much as she'd like to be, she has a flair for neck designs on the spurs. Heather designed the neck of a horse leg spur and Charlie thought it was an ugly looking thing but customers wanted it! When Heather designed a high neck they wanted them; when she designed a really short neck, they wanted them! Enough said?
Charlie's ability to supply the demand for “what they want” has resulted in a range of bits of all styles and sizes from Minis to Drafthorses. He's willing to have a go at almost anything - “if you can think of it, I'll do my best to make it real”.
“Circle C Bits and Spurs is pleased to be associated with Kent Saddlery.”

These two are a great couple who work well together as a team, with teasing and encouragement. Committed to a top quality product, Charlie has an admirable measure of humility about the excellence of the bits and spurs he produces.
